RECENTLY SUFU EMAILED THE PROGRAM DIRECTORS WITH THE FOLLOWING:
-------------------------------- Dear Program Director, We would like to inform you of the initiation of a match process involving fellowships in Female Urology, Voiding Dysfunction and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, which will begin Jan 1, 2009. At the request of resident applicants and program directors, a more standardized process of fellowship application and placement has been adopted. Included in this match will be all 2-year fellowships. SUFU will be using the AUA match process, consistent with the current Urology Residency Match. Thus, the process should be familiar to you and your prospective resident applicants as well. Briefly, interested applicants for the 2010 fellowship year should complete an application, which may be downloaded at www.sufuorg.com. In addition, applicants should register for a unique AUA Female Urology Match identification number through the AUA website. This link will also be easily available at www.sufuorg.com. A list of participating 2-year programs is currently available at the SUFU website, and your residents may begin the application process at any time this fall. We have included an outline of this process for your residents to review. Please forward this information on to your residents for their review. Also, please do not hesitate to contact any one of the members listed below if you or your residents have any questions. Lastly, for any resident you have interested in female urology, please encourage them to visit the SUFU website at www.sufuorg.com and register for our SUFU Mentorship Program. This novel program partners residents interested in female urology with SUFU members. This networking opportunity has been proven most valuable - particularly in programs without dedicated faculty in female urology Thanks in advance for your participation, J.
