Hello to anyone interested in applying to UCSF Urology this year! The UCSF Medical Center passed a new rule that all students who match at UCSF must pass both parts of Step 2 in order to begin internship in June/July 2010. In order to prevent people from matching and then not being allowed to start residency, we have to see passing scores on Step 2 before we can rank you to match. This won't impact who we select for interviews, but it will impact who we are allowed to rank. So please be advised that if you are interested in UCSF Urology, we will need to receive your Step 2 scores BEFORE Jan 4, 2010 to put you on our rank list. The department is sensitive to the fact that you need time to schedule this test, which is why we are posting this change on the UrologyMatch website.
